Bauhaus: De Grondlegger van Modern Design en Architectur
Bauhaus was een invloedrijke school voor beeldende kunst, ambachten, design en architectur in Duitsland, opgericht in 1919 door Walter Gropius. De school streefde naar een integratie van kunst en technologie en geloofde in het idee dat alle kunstormen, inclusief architectuur en design, op een gelijk niveau moesten staan. De Bauhaus-stijl kenmerkt zich door eenvoud, functionaliteit en het gebruik van industriële materialen. Ondanks dat de school in 1933 werd gesloten onder druk van het nazi-regime, heeft Bauhaus een blijvende invloed gehad op modern design en architectuur wereldwijd.

We krijgen wekelijks te horen dat het schilderij kleiner oogt dan verwacht. Daarom alvast een gratis tip: kies een maatje groter dan je in eerste instantie denkt.
Hieronder vind je een aantal van onze tips om de perfecte afmeting te kiezen:
- Kunst boven de bank? Ga voor een breedte van minimaal 100 cm. Dit kan één groot werk zijn, of een combinatie van twee of drie kleinere werken naast elkaar.
- Deze regel geldt ook voor kunst boven de eettafel: minimaal 100 cm breed is hier het uitgangspunt.
- Voor in de hal adviseren we meerdere werken in een lange rij – dat geeft een mooi, ruimtelijk effect.
- In de slaapkamer werkt een stuk van minimaal 120 cm breed vaak het best. Of speel met een creatieve compositie van meerdere werken.
- Heb je een lege muur zonder meubels of andere ankerpunten? Kies dan voor een werk van minimaal 90 cm hoog om voldoende impact te maken.
