Keith Haring: The Revolutionary Street Artist of Pop Art

Keith Haring (1958–1990) was an American artist and activist known for his vibrant and playful street art, which often conveyed social and political messages. His work was strongly influenced by the graffiti culture of New York City, where he began drawing on subway stations with chalk in the 1980s. Haring's iconic symbols, such as dancing figures, beaming babies, and barking dogs, are recognizable worldwide and have had a lasting impact on the art world. He used his art as a means to draw attention to important issues such as apartheid, the AIDS epidemic, and children's rights. Haring's artwork can be found not only in galleries and museums, but also on public walls and urban landscapes, making art accessible to a wider audience. His legacy lives on in the colorful and expressive style he introduced and the social awareness he sought through his work.

This painting shows a simple illustration of a humanoid figure with a flower for a head. The strong black lines and minimalist design contrast beautifully against the light colored background.

This artwork is the perfect wall decoration to bring your space to life. Each painting is made with care and attention to detail, so you are assured of the highest quality and a beautiful end result.

The painting is available in different materials, so you can always make a choice that suits your wishes. Choose from materials such as canvas, dibond or acrylic glass.

    Which size for which room?
    our basic rules!

We hear every week that the painting looks smaller than expected. So here's a free tip: choose a size larger than you initially think.

Below you will find some of our tips for choosing the perfect size:

    • Art above the couch? Go for a width of at least 100 cm. This can be one large work, or a combination of two or three smaller works next to each other.
    • This rule also applies to art above the dining table: a minimum width of 100 cm is the starting point here.
    • For the hall, we recommend several works in a long row – this creates a beautiful, spacious effect.
    • In the bedroom, a piece of at least 120 cm wide often works best. Or play with a creative composition of several works.
    • Do you have an empty wall without furniture or other anchor points? Then choose a work of at least 90 cm high to make enough impact.
